Frequenty Asked Questions

FAQ – Questions about our services.

What is a nerve root block and how is it carried out?

This involves injecting an anti-inflammatory medication directly at the irritated nerve root. The injection usually only takes a few minutes. Afterwards, you should remain in the practice for a short while so that we can monitor tolerance. After that, in most cases, you can continue with your daily routine as normal.

Is the 4D spinal measurement covered by health insurance?

The 4D spinal measurement is a private service and is covered by private health insurance.

How many shockwave sessions are necessary?

That depends on the nature and duration of your symptoms. Usually 3 to 6 sessions at weekly intervals are recommended. Dr Frank Beyer will discuss the planned course of treatment with you on an individual basis following your initial consultation.

Do you also treat individuals with statutory health insurance?

We are a private practice. Patients with statutory health insurance can be seen by us as self-paying patients. Billing through the statutory health insurance system (GKV) is not possible.

Can I book an appointment without a referral?

Yes. As this is a private practice, you do not need a referral. You can book an appointment directly online or by telephone. Please bear in mind any restrictions that may apply under your private health insurance policy (GP model).
