What is a nerve root block and how does it work?
PRT stands for periradicular therapy. It involves injecting an anti-inflammatory medication directly into an irritated nerve root or affected joint. The injection usually takes only a few minutes. Patients should stay at the practice for a short time so that we can monitor their response. In most cases this treatement does not affect their normal daily activities.
Is the 4D spinal scan covered by statutory health insurance?
The 4D spinal scan is a private service and is covered by private health insurance.
How many shockwave sessions are necessary?
That depends on the nature and duration of your symptoms. Generally, 3 to 6 sessions at weekly intervals are recommended. Dr Frank Beyer will discuss the planned course of treatment with you on an individual basis following your initial consultation.
Do you also treat patients with statutory health insurance?
We are a private practice. However, patients with statutory health insurance can use the self-pay option. Unfortunately, we do not offer billing through the statutory health insurance system (GKV).
Can I book an appointment without a referral?
Yes, since this is a private practice, you do not need a referral. You can book an appointment online or over the phone. Please check whether any restrictions apply under your private health insurance plan (primary care model).
